We will not be hosting an expo for the 2024 Big House 5K, but our six race beneficiaries and race sponsors will be on site at our packet pickup to share information with participants. Additionally, all participants receive finisher medals, while also providing a minimum $12 donation to our six race beneficiaries. The wait for Season 2 of House of the Dragon might have felt like forever, but the Dance of the Dragons will play out on our screens in just a scant couple of months. The Targaryen civil war will be a violent turning point in the saga. Daenys the Dreamer saw in a haze the town of Valyria burning hot red with ashes twinkling like stars in the sky above.

A smart decision on the creators’ part to show their close bond which ultimately sours and turns into the civil war of the century. It creates a more impactful hit for the viewers to witness such close friends fight with everything in their power (most importantly dragons) and spread waves of destruction and bloodshed across the realm. We could even see House of the Dragon explore the events of Robert's Rebellion in greater depth, especially if the series makes the downfall of the Mad King the crux of its final season. This would be a way of working in familiar characters like Robert Baratheon and Ned Stark. However, with Game of Thrones already exploring the conflict through multiple flashbacks, we doubt the entire series would be geared toward filling in the blanks of a story fans already know pretty well.
